Modalities

In addition to acupuncture, a variety of complementary therapies are used to support healing and enhance treatment outcomes. These modalities—ranging from traditional practices like cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion to modern therapies such as BEMER—offer targeted support for circulation, pain relief, and overall vitality.

Other Treatment Modalities:

In our clinic, additional treatment modalities are used to enhance and support the effects of acupuncture or to address specific conditions on their own. Techniques such as cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion have been used for centuries to move Qi and blood, release stagnation, warm the meridians, and support the body’s natural healing response. Modern therapies like BEMER complement these traditional methods by improving microcirculation and cellular communication. Each modality is carefully chosen based on the patient’s constitution, symptoms, and treatment goals, allowing us to engage the body through multiple therapeutic pathways and restore balance more effectively.
Cupping
This is an ancient technique that involves attaching a jar to the skin by way of a vacuum to restore micro-circulation in the capillaries.  The underlying tissue is raised, or sucked, partly into the cup. This helps relieve pain and pulls toxins from the body tissue. Cupping causes the skin to turn red, blue or purple especially if there is an energetic blockage underneath which can last up to two weeks. Cupping is a great treatment for colds, flu, allergies, fever, aches and pains.

Gua Sha
This involves palpation and cutaneous stimulation where the skin is pressured in  strokes by a round-edged instrument. This results in the appearance of a small petechiae called "sha" that fades within 2 or 3 days. Raising sha involves blood stagnation that is considered pathogenic, promoting normal circulation and metabolic processes.  The patient will experience immediate relief from pain, stiffness, fever, chills and nausea.

Moxibustion
This is a form of Oriental herbal heat therapy using the mugwort herb called "moxa" by the Chinese. It is heated either on an acupuncture needle or placed directly on or around the skin. It is to stimulate blood flow and circulate the Qi energy in acupuncture meridians. Moxibustion therapy in conjunction with acupuncture can be very effective for many diseases and conditions including back pain,  muscle stiffness, arthritis, digestive disorder and female health problems.
BEMER Therapy - Bio Electric Magnetic Energy Regulation : Physical Vascular Therapy
Bemer is a medical device that has been authorized officially. The main core of the Bemer Physical vascular Therapy is a kind of multi-dimensional signal structure which simulated the impaired or restricted microcirculation system in the most effective manner. This is a therapy that supports one of the most important control mechanisms of the body used for regeneration, healing and recovery processes. This therapy can also be used in the most effective manner for the:

•    Improvement of blood supply to tissues and organs

•    Support in healing sports injuries and wounds

•    Support for the immune system
